Fibrous Dysplasia/McCune-Albright syndrome (FD/MAS) is a rare and complicated disease. It might affect different organs like your hormone glands but can also affect your skin and bones. In case the disease is only located in the bones it is referred to as Fibrous Dysplasia (FD). When more organs are affected, it is called McCune-Albright syndrome (MAS).

FD and MAS are caused by the exact same gene mutation. When the disease appears and how it develops over time is different. Not much is known about FDMAS and therefore this consortium between patients, researchers and clinicians was founded.
